Introduction:(Bta. 2015 - Barcelona Food Technologies)
Spain’s farming and Food sectors have registered uninterrupted growth since 2007, despite the economic and financial crisis, with exports reaching new highs in recent years. According to the Spanish industry association FIAB, Food and beverage exports amounted to €22.6 billion in 2013 alone. Food processing industry demand for modern machinery and equipment remains as high as ever. More than 1,100 new Food products are placed on the market in Spain annually, many of which can only be made using new and modern technologies. As Germany is Spain’s second largest trading partner (after France), Spain is a potentially lucrative market for German machinery and equipment manufacturers.
Trade show
With some 520 exhibitors from 30 countries, Bta.2015–Barcelona Food Technologies is the most important Food-processing trade show in the Mediterranean region. Last year’s show had 35,000 trade visitors from 85 countries. Of these visitors, 23 percent were from non-EU countries ‒ 10 percent of them from Latin America. The packaging equipment trade show Hispack, which is held concurrently with Bta., offers visitors and exhibitors an additional benefit.

The cost of a taxi ride from the city center to the venue ranges between 10€ and 20€.

During the show days, there will be a shuttle bus from the airport to the venue, arranged by the Organization for Bta. attendees.
In addition, the following public bus lines connect different parts of the city with the venue: 9, 13, 27, 30, 37, 50, 56, 57, 65, 79, 91, 109, 153 and 157.

The closest arriving station is Barcelona Sants. Then, you will have to take the subway to get to Plaza España and from there, the FGC train.
All the FGC trains that depart from Plaza España stop at Europa/Fira, which is the closest to the venue. The ride takes around 6 minutes and the stop is just 5 minutes walking from the venue.
The International Airport Barcelona el Prat has a wide range of national and international connections.
