Product of the Year 2011 Tasting Contest

A traditional event within the exhibition is the Product of the Year professional tasting contest. The contest is organised by the Central Tasting Commission of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

Date and venue: 13 September 2011, Expocentre
Contest objective: To identify and promote high-quality Food products in the Russian market.
Contest awards: The winning companies receive Grand Prix, gold, silver and bronze medals, as well as certificates, based on the decision of the tasting commission.

Companies are entitled to use the medal logo on the labelling of the winning product.
Award ceremony: Exhibitors and visitors, journalists and members of industry commissions are invited to the award ceremony.
The Product of the Year 2011 Award Ceremony will take place at 12:00 on 16 September in the Congress Centre Press Hall at Expocentre.

In total, the Product of the Year 2010 contest featured over 400 products from 200 companies in 9 categories.

The 5th Russian Food Forum is the leading platform for a dialogue between the experts representing the Food industry, professionals from individual sectors, and representatives of the ministries, agencies and international organizations. Experts, business leaders and directors of industry associations will discuss the current situation on the market and give their forecasts for the next six months.

As a result of online voting  of the visitors of the exhibition World Food Moscow  website the best new  product 2011 was found Cheese Dziugas (Bronze, Silver and Gold) from Zemaitijos Pienas (Lithuania).

• Direct negotiations between the representatives of retail chains, manufacturers and suppliers on the purchases of products of Food category;
• Training master-classes and seminars
