Top Table
The special section for luxury foods, Gourmet Zone, makes a welcome return in
2012, to feature the finest food from different countries and regions. At its debut in 2011, this zone included more than 40 exhibitors grouped under four themes: Sweet Delight, European Delicacies, Fine Dining, and LOHAS. Special events that attract visitor traffic to this zone include cooking demonstrations by star chefs, talks, forums and games.
Trade Dishes
The
Trade Hall is a dedicated business platform for exhibitors to connect with trade buyers. The hall is organised by group pavilions, which in 2011 included exhibitors from Iran, Japan, Korea, Mexico and the Philippines. The Chinese mainland is well represented, with pavilions from Ningbo, Guizhou, Guangdong, Yunnan and Fujian.
Public Tastes
The
Public Hall encompasses exhibitors in Hall 1 and Halls 3F-G, which helps exhibitors build brand awareness and ensures instant feedback for new items. A major highlight of the Public Hall is the
Premium Food Zone, which featured nearly 40 exhibitors promoting branded food and beverage products in 2011. These included Chewy, Comvita, Hoi Tin Tong, Hsin Tung Yang, Kee Wah, KOFCO, Lee Kum Kee, Maxim, MEYER, NINJIOM, Nissin, Sau Tao, Tai Pan, Tao Ti Tea Series, Tung Chun, Wing Wah and Vita Green.
Dim Sum Treats
The
Food Expo is full of activities to entertain and educate, including cooking demonstrations, discussions with well-known food columnists, games, lucky draws, and seminars on nutrition and food safety.
Delicious Combination
The fair is run concurrently with other related trade events in the food and health sector: the
HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair and the International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM).
